Job summary:
• Strong proficiency with SQL and its variation among popular databases especially Oracle
• Strong hold on PL/SQL queries and data warehousing background.
• Up to date with the latest releases of Oracle and new features available
• Skilled at optimizing large complicated SQL statements.
Required Skills: PL/SQL Oracle, DB scripting
Roles & Responsibilities
• Knowledge of best practices when dealing with relational databases
• Ability to plan resource requirements from high level specifications
• Capable of troubleshooting common database issues
• Familiar with tools that can aid with profiling server resource usage and optimizing it
• Proficient understanding of code versioning tools such as GitHub.
• Effective interpersonal and communication skills
• Ability to work with no or limited guidance grasp the concepts quickly and develop in an agile mode with experience in working with agile project management tool
• Help write and optimize in-application SQL statements
• Ensure performance security and availability of databases
• Prepare documentations and specifications
• Handle common database procedures such as upgrade backup recovery migration etc.
• Profile server resource usage and optimize and tweak as necessary
• Collaborate with other team members and stakeholders
