Job Title : Cloud-IaaS-Compute-Windows Azure (L3) Location : Waltham, Ma (Remote till Covid) Duration : 12+ Months Job description : - To be responsible to understand the current infrastructure estate and assess the same to identify the need of any modernisation and transformation opportunities.
- To be responsible to understand customer s technology roadmap and infrastructure strategy and asses the gap of the infrastructure estate with respect to the same.
- To be responsible to create a conceptual solution for the transformation and evangelise the same within the design authority for progressing to the next steps.
- To liaise with OEM vendors to finalise the options meeting customer s business requirements and help Program team in pricing negotiations.
- To provide design and implementation assurance to the customer that the solution is fit for the purpose and the implementation meets all success criteria.
- To provide technical management and thought leadership for the overall success of the program.
- To ensure Traceability of requirements through design, implementation and testing phases of the project.
- Experience and Qualifications:
- About 10-15 years of total experience with 5 years of relevant experience performing various roles in Infra architecture and solution with TOGAF certification.
- Experience developing High Level Design to meet Customer requirements
- Hands on experience in delivering high value System Integration projects.
- Hands on experience in DC Migration projects migrating IT Assets (Servers, Storage, Network) from one data center to another.
- Should have through understanding about Converged and hyper converged environment
- Detail and high level designing experience across multiple technologies
- Strong technical background in one of the core IT Infrastructure areas like Platform/Network/Database (L3 or above)
- Deep understanding about the build-up of a Data center. Should have been part of at least a couple of Data Centre builds.
- Ability to perform independently consulting assessment reviews and assisting client organization with development, execution and testing of overall solution.
- Intimate knowledge and understanding of the methods used in performing risk analysis and business impact analyses
- Good overall understanding of IT infrastructure design, IT operations, Data center maintenance, Vendor co-ordination, Voice & Data Network setups, Application development and End User computing areas in order to review and assist in the preparation of recovery procedures in these areas.
- Ability to calculate DC Power and Cooling requirements based on IT infrastructure design plans
- Knowledge on Structured cabling design and implementation
- Deep understanding of DC operations and ability to define SLA s, handle sudden change requests, handle rollback requirements etc.
