Role: Java Integration Architect Location: Denver, CO (Initial 2-3 months remote and then onsite) Duration : Long Term Contract Role: Creates solution architecture diagrams and other design artifacts representing the approach and effect of new proposed solutions. Collaborates closely with and guide development teams during all phases of the development lifecycle with emphasis on native cloud, serverless, and containerized solutions. Apply technical knowledge and customer insights to create a modernization roadmap. Architect solutions to meet business and IT needs Experience with Middleware technology, architecture and design for cloud and premise-based solutions. Experience transitioning premise based applications to the cloud – AWS preferred. Collaborate with TELUS International consultants and client senior management, senior technical managers, client architects, and staff to envision, architect, design, plan, deliver and improve solutions Review deliverables, applications, project output and ensure effectiveness, efficiency, availability, security Assess current business and system risk, migration risk and develop risk management strategies Develop the technology standards for software, applications, integrations, APIs. Requirements: Telecom OSS / BSS development and Architecture in Mobility and Consumer, Wholesale segments. MVNO BSS/OSS solution experience preferred. Experience in providing solutions and services to major carriers including business transformation, migrations, business process optimization, enterprise technology integration, full software development life cycle, cloud solutions, solution and data architecture, managed services, and offshore development. Excellent in handling multiple projects and Application Integration experience in large IT systems. Excellent experience of data flow and integration across all layers in the enterprise system. Experience working with tight timeline and dynamic project environments. Hands on & expert in AWS ecosystem. Expert-level understanding of concepts such as: high availability engineering, containerization, server less computing, elastic scalability, high performance RDBMS/NoSQL,Kafka, Couchbase Experience with scalable architectures using Amazon AWS App Service, API management, serverless technologies, container orchestration (e.g. Kubernetes), microservice frameworks etc. Hands-on extensive experience in Microservices, API, Java, Angular, NodeJs, ReactJs, AWS Cloud Solutions, Java, Kafka, API Gateway, Spring Boot, Micro-services, Relational and/or NoSQL databases. Excellent in writing SQL queries and analyzing the data. Experience in securing APIs using Oauth, SAML, OpenID Connect etc. Knowledge on design principles and best practices in implementing REST APIs. Strong knowledge in API Modelling languages and annotation (YAML, Swagger, RAML). Strong knowledge on message transformation languages like JavaScript, XSLT, and Java. Experience working with and writing Swagger definitions. Experience developing in Agile & with CI tools like Gitlabs, Jenkins. Implementation or working experience of Continuous Integration and Continuous Delivery using tools and automation capabilities such as JUnit, Mocking, Jenkins, Git, Rally Experience building common practices, processes, and integration layers for in-house and 3rd party applications. 10+ years’ experience in large-scale telecom software development or technology delivery.
