Title: Sr Java Software Engineer.
Location: Candidates need to be Open to relocate to Bentonville, AR or Dallas, TX(Remote for now).
Type: 6+months Contract hire
Looking for a Software Engineer to join a new & growing system, they will build new services, add features, expand the reach to other systems, make changes when integrating, and build new integrations (clone a rep and make a new version). Needs to be experienced in Java, and Kafka.
Project Scope / Components: The system in Enterprise Inventory – track all inventory from the moment an order is made all the way to when the item is sold. Used for .com
Team Size & Breakdown: 37 people on the team total broken into scrum teams of 6-8
Development Methodology: Agile – 2 week sprints
High-Level Individual Duties:
It’s a new & growing system, they will build new services, add features, expand the reach to other systems, make changes when integrating, build new integrations (clone a repo and make a new version)
Must-Haves (Concepts & Tools):
• Java (8) – Spring Boot & Microservices Architecture
• Kafka Streams – event driven
• NoSQL (clustering / keys) & SQL skills
• Cloud / DevOps – modern application development
o Testing (they use Junit & Cucumber)
• Good work ethic / strong communication.
Nice-to-Haves (Concepts & Tools):
• GCP – Cold Storage
• Azure
• Spark
• Cassandra / Cosmos (in Azure)
