Job Responsibilities:

Software Engineering, Development & Automation

Execute the company’s software engineering discipline ranging from technology, cloud, application, and engagement layer standards.
Work towards defining and development of QEP’s digital platform and its components following engineering standards laid out.
Provide thought leadership and influence client BCP, SLA and OLAs.
Lead, coordinate, and drive decision making process for key technology decisions.
Drive software and application implementation including cloud automation.
Understand and develop design patterns such as Micro-services, APIs and event driven architectures.

Delivery & Collaboration

Execute delivery and resolve delivery issues on large scale programs.
Participate in Agile methodology to transform the QEP delivery organization. Ensure and drive a fast-paced environment to accommodate changing market and technology landscapes.
Manage and collaborate with a team of offshore partner resources.
Work closely with sponsors and product owners to define product functions and features.
Be a continuous learner and foster your technology skills.

Job Qualifications:

General:

7+ years of experience in software engineering, development and automation.
BS in Computer Science, Engineering, or related discipline. MS / PhD a plus.
Strong background and recent hands-on experience in developing cloud-based n-tier solutions.
Ability to understand 'Big Picture' as well as to dive into project-level details. Ability to establish and manage 'at scale' in a multi-region setup.
Experience delivering cloud-ready microservices solutions. Experience with Azure is a big plus.
Prior experience working with decentralized and offshore teams a plus.
Familiarity and prior experience working with agile frameworks a plus.
Critical thinker with IT experience in building and deploying digital platforms a plus.
Comfortable with ambiguity and able to deal with a path forward that is not always well-defined.
Change agent capable of working through implementation and adoption issues.
Experience delivering data-intense solutions, integration architecture knowledge is a plus.
Energy domain expertise in E&P a plus.

Technical Skills

Languages: python, javascript, typescript, Node.js, c#/java.
Operating Systems: Familiar with both Windows and Linux development. Comfortable with bash shell and powershell development.
Working knowledge of web frameworks like React.js, jQuery, Angular, Flask, with hands on-delivery experience in one of them.
Solid understanding in using Chart Libraries (D3, Leaflet, Amchart etc).
Familiarity with major architecture styles (REST/APIs, RPC, GraphQL, MVC, 12 Factor Apps).
Experience with SQL and NOSQL databases.
Experience with Git, Docker, Kubernetes
Some Experience with Terraform and Ansible is a plus.
Experience with Azure devops.
