Job 1:

Role: java developer

Location: Malver, Ny initially remote)

Contract: 6 months (will be extended)

 

Duties and Responsibilities:

Provides intermediate level system analysis, design, development, and implementation of UI and MTs for WEB and Batch based software. Verifies all deliverables meet Methodology and Information Security requirements.

Translates technical specifications, and/or design models into code for new or enhancement projects (for internal or external clients).

Develops code that reuses objects, is well structured, includes sufficient comments, and is easy to maintain.

Writes programs and reports

Elevates code into the development, test, and Production environments on schedule.

Participates in design, code, and test inspections throughout life cycle to identify issues and ensure methodology compliance.

Participates in systems analysis activities, including system requirements analysis and definition, e.g. prototyping. Participates in other meetings, such as those for use case creation and analysis.

Writes the system/technical portion of assigned deliverables. Assists technical team members with the system/technical portion of their deliverables, e.g., systems testers with test plans. On small teams, the developer may write these items.

Performs unit testing and writes appropriate unit test plans to ensure requirements are satisfied.

Assists in integration, systems, acceptance, and other related testing as needed.

Develops understanding of client business functions and technology needs. Develops understanding of Vanguard's tools, technologies, and applications/databases, including those that interface with the business areas and other systems

Interfaces with cross functional teams, including associated Data, UI & Mid-Tier teams.

Complies with IT policies and procedures, especially those for quality and productivity standards that enable the team to meet established milestones.

Complies with Retail Systems policies and procedures including attendance and weekly time and status reporting.

Understands and adheres to Vanguard’s Diversity mission and policies.

Experience with test driven development

Experience with automation testing
This is an agile project.

Technical Skills:

Demonstrated track record of strong analysis, design and implementation capabilities

Demonstrated proficiency developing applications using:
Experience in Java development (including Java 8) and micro services

Experience or Knowledge of AWS technologies such as ECS, EKS, Lambda, S3, SQS, SNS, Kinesis, and DynamoDB

Experience developing and integrating with microservices, webapps, REST API's

Experience working with CI/CD tools such as Bamboo, Jenkins, Jira, BitBucket etc. and implementing custom plugins

Other Competencies:

4-6 years developer or systems analyst experience

Strong, demonstrated analysis, design, and problem solving skills

Strong planning and organizational skill

Strong written and oral communication skills

Job 2:

Role: software developer

Location: New York, NY (initially remote)

Contract: 6 months (will be extended)
JOB DESCRIPTION:

5-10 years of experience Strong exposure on Core Java, Spring, Spring Boot, REST APIs, Microservices. Understanding of relational [Oracle/DB2] database. Good understanding of Agile based execution process Proven skills in performance tuning and quality improvements Optional experience on messaging related technologies like Kafka, MQ, JMS. Good communication skills, ability to work independently and as a team with strong analytical and interpersonal skills Prior Financial experience is highly desirable

 

Job 3:

ETL Test Manager

Location: Jersey City, NJ (initially remote)

Contract: 6 months (will be extended)

JOB DESCRIPTION:

Initiate the Test Activity Planning and Test Resource Management on the project.

Create Test Plan and Test Strategy documents for the project.

Work with the SMEs of various source systems to understand the project requirements.Work with Business team in the creation of use cases.

Work with the onsite and offshore ETL teams to identify gaps and resolve them to closure.Design test scenarios for the project based on the requirements and use cases.

Base line Test Scenarios, Test Cases and Test Scripts.

Maintain Test Reports and Defect Metrics.

Develop and validate SQL scripts for both ETL and DataMart testing.

Conduct sessions with the Development team to verify any additional testing scenarios required based on the ETL specs

Track defects in Jira from validating the defect, assigning the defects to the development team and closing the defect after successful retesting.

Verify Test cases scripts based on the functional specifications and maintained traceability with the requirements.

Interact with the users to walk them through the functionality of the reports that they request before UAT.Conduct war room sessions with the users for UAT.

Co-ordinate the UAT efforts between the Business and Development teams for efficient defect tracking and closure.

Conduct daily status calls during IT and UAT for test execution and defect tracking.Responsible for maintaining the QA SharePoint for projects.

Communicate testing activities to the project teams and high level management on a daily basis including the test execution progress, defect summary and burn down charts.

Set up databases for the QA environment and working with DBAs to assign proper privileges for the testing team for testing.

Schedule UAT readiness meetings and Production readiness meeting to mitigate issues and outline defect deferral process to facilitate progress.

 

Job 4:

Role: Sr. Developer - Azure
Work location: MILFORD (US:06460), CT (initially remote)

Contract: 6 months (will be extended)
Background check MANDATORY

JOB DESCRIPTION
"Technical Skills:

• 6-8 years experience
• .Net 3.0, C#, Angular UI (Angular 11 UI would be a plus), SQL server, Web API.
• Resource should be knowledgeable in Azure Portal with Azure Service Bus, App Insights and Azure Functions.
• Angular Development experience
• .Net, C#, Azure SQL
• Hands on experience on providing complex solutions for API integrations
• Strong Exposure to Digital Cloud Platform, Azure
• Experience developing IoT solutions and passion for getting hands dirty with code.
• Server 2010 SQL Server 2013 Cosmos DB Languages ASP. Net JavaScript C# net Platform Azure cloud and Azure IOT
• Should have excellent knowledge on Azure Cloud and IIOT
Nice to have: Micro services, Micro Ui, Event driven architecture, Cosmo DB
