Job Title : Middleware Engineer Location : Oaks, PA ( Need Locals) Duration : 12 Months Type : C2C Description: - 5+ years of experience in software middleware stack installation, configuration, maintenance, patching & system integrations is desirable.
- Strong fundamental understanding in the design, management and maintenance of internet facing web applications using webserver technologies.
- Subject matter expertise in web/application servers such as WebLogic, Tomcat, Apache, IIS, analyzing log, interpreting data, and monitoring & tuning servers.
- Subject matter expertise with build, configure and securing load-balanced websites using Apache httpd.
- Strong background and fundamental understanding of *nix systems like OEL, and persistence systems like Oracle database, PostgreSQL, Elasticsearch and may be portworx.
- Understanding of DevOps methodologies and tools such as Jenkins, Ansible, Docker, terraform & Kubernetes
- Working knowledge of messaging technologies like IBM MQ, Kafka & Java messaging Service
- Understanding of scripting languages like bash, Perl, Python, powershell and understanding of JAVA is a plus.
- Past experience in identifying and working with vendor support like Oracle, Ping, and other vendor products to provide resolution to issues that need escalation.
- A fast learner with ability to dive into new products and technologies. Strong critical thinking and analytical skills and ability to think "out of the box" required.
- A team player with good written and verbal communication skills that can work cordially with other members in the production support group.
- Familiarity with cloud technologies and any work experience using Microsoft Azure , Amazon Web Services (AWS) is a plus.
Required Skills : • Strong experience w/ Middleware platforms (At least one of WebLogic or WebSphere required) • Linux/Unix server experience required
