Position – Infrastructure Architect Duration- 3 Month with Extension Possible Location- Boca Raton, FL (Onsite from Day 1) | | Requirements: Education: - Four (4) year degree or 9 - 10 years’ experience in a large enterprise as Infrastructure Architect.
Preferred Experience: - Experience with architecting enterprise level products/platforms and in-depth knowledge of Service Oriented Architecture (SOA), microservices.
- 8 plus years of hands-on experience developing database solutions design (e.g., Oracle, SQL), defining database physical structure and functional capabilities, security controls, back-up, including recovery specifications.
- 9 plus years’ experience maintaining database performance by identifying and resolving production and application issues, calculating optimum values for parameters, evaluating, integrating, installing new releases, and maintenance.
- 5 plus years’ hands-on experience as database architect providing and implanting cloud native solutions and building data warehouses.
- 4 plus years’ experience with monitoring and benchmarking technologies such as Solarwinds.
- Experience in Windows, Unix/Linux, Oracle, SQL, storage solutions such as EMC, Isilon, Pure including data replication between data centers and hybrid hosted environments.
- Experience in performance fine tuning and autoscaling of large-scale enterprise platforms working in B2C mode serving < 0.20 milliseconds.
Certifications (preferred): - Information Technology Infrastructure Library (ITIL)
- Microsoft Azure Administrator
- SQL Design and Architecture
- Microsoft Azure Services and Lifecycle (Preferred)
- Oracle Certified Professional (OCP) (Preferred)
Responsibilities - Interact with business unit and IT leaders to define infrastructure support initiatives and solutions for improving service efficiency and effectiveness. Translate these business requirements into functional requirements for solutioning.
- Creation and implementation of short-term and long-term data strategy roadmap to support FTE’s strategic goals.
- Evaluate and enhance FTE’s applications to work seamlessly in a single tenant on-premises and cloud architecture as well as multi-tenant SaaS architecture in compliance with State of Florida Privacy Laws, PCI-DSS standards and NIST Cybersecurity Framework.
- Ensures all infrastructure and architecture production, Disaster Recovery, other environments (Test/QA) are documented, properly vetted, and follow NIST Cybersecurity, ITIL Framework, and PCI-DSS Compliance Standards.
- Work with functional teams to design/architect FTE’s applications underlying Windows, Unix/Linux, VMWare, Storage, Backup, environment to increase availability and performance.
- Analyze and enhance monitoring tools and technologies to benchmark and solve complex enterprise application performance and problem resolution.
- Develop and maintain playbooks to support and restore production, disaster recovery including cloud and hybrid environments.
- Ensure code development, updates are reviewed by leveraging automated technologies that support OWASP Top 10 and/or SANS Top 20 controls for effective cyberthreat protection.
- Gain in-depth understanding of FTE’s data management, data warehousing, data lake environments. Develop and enhance detailed documentation and process flows. Recommend processes to maximize efficiency, delivery of information.
- Work with FTE’s IT leadership to enhance and develop KPIs around availability and performance to meet the Departments’ SLA.
- Collaborate with IT team leads to understand software, applications needs in order to perform their duties regarding day-to-day maintenance/support activities. Ensure a standard is implemented and maintained for all applications (open source or otherwise) are thoroughly vetted and follow industry best practices and NIST Cybersecurity Framework.
- Collaborate with the Office of Information Technology (OIT) to ensure proper coordination of resources, shared technologies and synergy opportunities are appropriately captured and executed on.
- Perform periodic assessment of FTE Infrastructure to ensure alignment with established processes and make recommendations for improvements.
- Work closely with the Security Risk Management, Network Operations teams on FTE’s applications design/architecture requirements for throughput, bandwidth, security, and compliance requirements.
