Job Description:
As an Infor Birst Developer your primary responsibilities include:
- 8+ years of experience designing and developing utilizing Birst Multi-Tenant Cloud Architecture.
- Design, develop, and implement reporting and analytics solutions, including semantic layer and visualizations in Birst.
- Developing the semantic layer, metadata, reports, and report definitions.
- Developing graphs and portal interfaces.
- Assist in the design of databases and data warehouses to ensure interoperability with BI solutions.
- Able to work with Business users to understand their reporting needs and then own end to end delivery
- Ability to troubleshoot ETL/Report issues and perform the root cause analysis
- Able to work as an independent team member, capable of applying judgment to plan and execute your tasks.
- Able to respond to technical queries / requests from team members and customers
- Troubleshooting BI tools, systems, and software; performance-tune these applications as necessary.
- Working with project managers to ensure that data entry, retrieval, change, and delete functions meet business requirements for project completion.
- Designing and deliver end-user training and training materials; provide technical support as necessary.
Technical Qualifications:
- Demonstrated experience with Infor Birst reports design, development and integrating with backend data sources.
- Direct, hands-on experience with one or more core Infor Birst modules and experience in implementing BI solution for customers.
- Experience with all phases of the SDLC.
- Design, program, test, debug, implement, and document program logic.
- Organize data files and prepare flowcharts of data movement. Document procedures and operation methods. Prepare instructional material for users and complete user training.
- Experience in Birst BI Data Modelling (Admin), Live Access, Reporting (Designer/Visualizer/Dashboards) and space management
- Experience in Birst Advanced data modelling techniques in creating Scripted Sources, Hierarchies/grains, Levels, Variables, setting data types & column lengths Custom Attributes & Measures and Packages
- Experience in configuring Birst data source tables for snapshot or incremental load processing
- Experience in using Birst Connect to create tasks and sources
- Design/developed Birst reports/dashboards using Designer/Visualizer/Dashboard 2.0 reports using different report designs like results view, pivot control, sort, filter, drill behaviours and charts
- Experience in space administration and security like user/group management, SSO and report scheduling
- Experience in Birst space customization: Custom Measures, Custom Attributes, Bucketed Measures, Variables, Packages, Aggregates and Drill maps
- Experience in all the areas such as Connect, Prepare, Relate, Discover and Present
- Good experience in writing BQL (Birst Query Language)
- Background in Data Modelling, Reporting, KPIs, and metrics
- Experience with data warehousing is preferred.
- Additional technical experience with .Net/C# and Dell Boomi is preferable
