Position: Senior Project Manager (Credit Card Processing)

Job Description-
The Sr. Project Manager position provides management for all phases of Strategic Enterprise Projects as identified by the client's Executive Management. Responsible for managing one or more projects within the constraints of scope, quality, time, and cost, to deliver specified requirements and meet sponsor, management and stakeholder satisfaction.
� Provide project management to ensure departmental procedures met, and projects are moving forward in an effective manner.
� Review contracts and statement of work from vendors and partners. Manage and deliver the required products for each project, phase, or stage of a project based on that project"s work plan. Obtains signoff from project sponsor on deliverables and project completion.
� Ensure quality is achieved as planned. Enable quality assurance and quality control as appropriate.
� Deliver and ensure adherence to time, budget and deliverables and project milestones within agreed tolerances.
� Manage tradeoffs between scope, schedule, quality & cost. Monitor and control the progress of the project at an operational level.
� Obtain, direct, motivate and manage resources within the project scope of work.
� Establish and update project plans and project schedules with forecasts and actuals and manage deviations from plan.
� Report to respective stakeholders through various methods including team meetings, status reports; steering committee or oversight meetings; etc.; Liaise with project sponsors, customers, vendors, or partners.
� Facilitate communication to all involved as appropriate and manage expectations with all stakeholders.
� Work with project team members and business leaders to resolve project issues and remove obstacles.
� Escalate decisions and unresolved issues to the next level of management. Communicate, facilitate, and manage resolution to complex issues and challenging situations and personnel.
� Conclude the work upon completion; prepare lessons learned and appropriately close all financial budget and project issues. Close all project documentation and archive appropriate records. Ensure proper hand off to maintain ongoing
� support, as needed.
� Ensure the visibility of the business case or project scope. Ensure all project requirements and objectives are properly documented and communicated throughout the project team.
� Ensure EPMO methodology, standards, process, and procedures are followed on all projects. Communicates and trains team members on processes where needed such as change control, procurement, etc. Document, obtain approval and enforce project change management with all stakeholders. Make recommendations to improve methodologies, processes, and templates.
� Obtain and manage project budget and approve of all project expenditures. Tracks expected versus actual expenditures and provides budget reports to Manager of EPMO and Senior or Executive Management when required.
� Facilitate project risk reviews and proper mitigation.
Requirements:
MINIMUM:
� Bachelor"s degree in Information Systems or Business Administration
� Eight (8) years in relevant project management
PREFERRED:
� One (1) year management experience
� PMP certification through the Project Management Institute
Knowledge & Skills:
MINIMUM:
� TSYS and Fiserv Card Processing Experience is a Hard Requirement
� Position requires effective utilization of communication skills introducing new ways of thinking to apply new tools and processes, refining evaluative metrics and to constantly establish new baselines of performance providing value on projects and for the enterprise.
� Position requires knowledge of business operations, processes, and problem identification with the capability to engage senior managers in credible solution-development dialogue.
� Proven abilities to manage complex projects.
� Must be able to communicate with a varying level of personnel from executive management to front line personnel as well as vendors and partners that UMB engages.
� Must be goal-oriented and action-focused, pragmatic, and self-disciplined, good at project planning, organizing, team motivation and delegation, pursues information to reduce uncertainty and learns how to improve performance.
� Must be able to quickly become knowledgeable about each project sponsors specific subject matter and business challenges being addressed by the assigned project(s) across the EPMO and in progress by all EPMO Project Managers.
� Must have excellent communication, leadership, organization, scope management, issue management, risk management, resource management and time management skills.
� Must be able to facilitate and manage complex issues and challenging situations and personnel.
� Demonstrates ability to resolve conflicts and disagreements, handle difficult people and tense situations with diplomacy and tact, spot potential conflicts, de-escalate disagreements, encourage open debate, and open discussion and orchestrate win-win solutions when feasible.
� Waterfall / Agile / Scrum Master experience.

� Various development, including Mainframe, Distributed systems, UI, and API experience
