Title: Azure Network Architect
Location: St. Louis, MO / Remote
Job Description
Job Duties & Responsibilities:
The candidate will develop and execute new initiatives to simplify, standardize, optimize, and automate
designs, tooling, and operations to reduce implementation cycle times, eliminate service downtime,
optimize performance, and ensure that all security and compliance requirements are fully governed.
Duties:
• In partnership with leaders (Infrastructure heads and Cloud Solution peer(s)), leads cloud
offering architectural discussions to ensure solutions are designed for successful deployment.
• Supports management in leading the effort to provide input on proposals including feasibility,
practicality, technical viability, consistency & solution costs.
• Drives requirements for integrating cloud capabilities and scenarios supporting the service,
including service availability, quality, outage management, subscription management,
correlation of usage and charges, and cost-efficient solution architecture.
• Provides technical guidance regarding performance, scalability, security, design, and
implementation of cloud services.
• Supports management in implementing next generation network infrastructure leveraging
Azure WAN.
• Leads feasibility assessments for proposed service implementations or changes.
• Develops and publishes standardized ARM templates to automate the creation of cloud
resources that comply to company standards.
• Takes an active role in developing the organizations cloud skill, including coaching, mentoring
and socialization.
• Proven experience performing root cause analysis of security events and incidents
• Play a key role in the adoption of Azure / Cloud offerings in the enterprise, specifically providing
guidance/recommendations for network specific requirements
• Promote the use of Azure/Cloud standardization, shared infrastructure and shared services to
reduce costs and improve information flows.
• Experience in researching emerging technologies and trends, standards, and products and
synthesizing into clear technology roadmaps and strategies
Candidate Required Qualifications:
• 10+ years' experience providing network architecture and consulting
• 3-5 year’s experience providing private/hybrid/public cloud, configurations, migrations,
patterns, and practices.
• Cloud networking architecture, design, patterns, and implementation.

· 7+ years in designing, supporting/troubleshooting and deploying network configurations
• Knowledge of networking components and concepts including subnets, DMZs, routers, switches,
and firewalls
• Demonstrable understanding of Web Services (WSDL, SOAP & REST), XML and JSON document
schemas, HTTP protocol, JMS and underlying networking concepts
• A self-starter demonstrating an ability to transition in technology, lead and guide architecture,
and thoughtfully solve problems
• Understanding of Infrastructure as Code and practical application to virtualized Infrastructure
(Logical compute, storage and network)
• Expert understanding of fundamental design principles behind a scalable application
• Excellent ability to multi-task by balancing multiple projects at the same time
