Job Title   : Automation Test Lead/Manager Location   : Tennessee(On site for 2-3 days per week for the first few months and then remote) Duration  : Contract Notes: The resource must be a leader and serve as a "teacher and leader".  He/She must have very strong communication skills, be able to express themselves and be a strong Selenium expert.  The work will be at Columbia, TN.  Ideally, they would like someone on site for 2-3 days per week for the first few months and then remote should they so desire.  Ideally someone local to the Nashville, Franklin, Columbia TN areas would be great, but if someone is not local, then they should plan on spending some travel time (reimbursed)on site so the client gets to know them and the resource gets to know the customer. Job Description: HTC will establish a Test Automation CoE using Selenium.  This resource will lead the Project for the customer and must be a very strong communicator and leader.  They will lead the QA practice and help train the Farm Bureau team on Selenium.  They will also be responsible for leading an offshore HTC team on Selenium. Excellent opportunity for a strong Leader in testing excellence to help us build out an automation discipline in the QA area.   Need a mentor/leader to help build it out and teach the testing team and end clients that we have on that team to maintain it moving forward.   Position Summary The Quality Engineering Lead is responsible for leading all Quality Engineering Tools and processes.  This role is responsible for the analysis of current environment and the build out an automation framework, using best practices and tools, to help meet business goals.  This person is a technical resource for all Test Automation, Performance Testing, and all other QA Tools.  Essential Duties and Responsibilities: Design automated test strategies and test cases in the test management tool. Design test cases to ensure the software and system respond to positive and negative inputs. Execute test cases and report the test results in the test management tool and the QA Manager.  Mentor team members and recommend training. Make recommendations on acceptable risks in the application.  Implement product and process improvements to include Risk Assessment. Structure and maintain the QE Tools. Develop and conduct inspection and peer review processes.   Assist with supporting and troubleshooting issues in test environments. Working knowledge of all levels of testing to include unit, functional, system, and user acceptance testing.   Working knowledge implement Test Automation Frameworks. Expert resource for others on product / technical knowledge, QA Processes, and Methodologies. Qualifications & Skills: Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent. Demonstrated success holding title Lead or Mgr.  Strength in Testing Tools Setup and Creation. Experience with Performance Tools and Testing, JMeter is needed. Experience with Test Automation practices and tools.    Experience working in an Agile Scrum environment. Proactively communicate and escalate issues that might impact quality. Plan work for self and team members. Experience in testing back-end systems with no user interface.  Experience with Rally (Agile Central) or other Agile Scrum tools. Programming experience in SQL a plus.  Experience with Guidewire Insurance software a plus. Experience testing in mainframe environment a plus. Experience with ALM (Quality Center) is a plus. Strong problem solving and troubleshooting skills.
