We are looking for a senior full stack software developer who will develop, maintain, and support a multi-tier, high-performance application that processes massive amounts of genomic data: Really want a candidate with experience working with Genomic Data- please make sure this is listed on their resume before submitting to me.
· Provide and promote software engineering coding best practices and standards
· Work closely with the application’s architect to migrate various subsystems from legacy on-prem to AWS
· Instrument and analyze performance metrics to ensure existing QoS contracts are maintained and improved
· Implement new features going forward as well as update client-side APIs (both GUI and command-line based) to support them
Education and experience:
· BS/MS in Computer Science/Computer Engineering or related discipline
· 7+ years of experience in C#/.NET high-performance application development
Competencies:
· Knowledge of AWS or Kubernetes based clustering software development/runtime environments
· Knowledge of Visual Studio or similar C# IDE framework
· Knowledge of how REST-based APIs work
· Experience in developing and debugging highly scaled enterprise applications or similar HPC
· Experience in Hadoop or equivalent Map/Reduce frameworks such as AWS EMR, Spark, etc. Is a big plus
· Experience in handling genomic data or equivalent
· Knowledge of CI/CD principles and tools
· Competency in some scripting language such as Powershell or bash
