...WIND CHILL ADVISORY IN EFFECT FROM 9 PM THIS EVENING TO 9 AM CST FRIDAY...
* WHAT...Mixed precipitation expected. Total sleet and snow accumulations of up to 1/2 inch and ice accumulations up to a tenth of an inch. In addition, winds could gust as high as 35 mph and produce wind chill values in the single digits through 9 AM Friday.
* WHERE...Portions of south central Texas.
* WHEN...For the Winter Storm Warning, until 9 PM CST this evening. For the Wind Chill Advisory, from 9 PM this evening to 9 AM CST Friday.
* IMPACTS...Difficult travel conditions are possible. The hazardous conditions could impact the morning or evening commute. Side walks and pavement could be slippery to walk on.
In addition, a risk for hypothermia exists for those spending extended time outdoors and not dressed in layers and gloves.
* ADDITIONAL DETAILS...Heavier icing greater than a tenth of an ice could occur for locations along and north of Loop 1604 in northern Bexar County.
