Education: Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Information Systems or other related field. Or
equivalent work experience.
Experience: A minimum of 2 years of programming/systems analysis experience.
Complexity: Intermediate professional level role. Develops solutions requiring analysis and research. Works on small to large, complex projects that require increased skill in multiple technical
environments and possesses knowledge in a specific business area. Works on one or more
projects as a project team member or occasionally as a project lead. May coach more junior
technical staff.
Work Tasks
- Assist internal and external customers to produce detailed functional requirements of system components to be programmed.
- Efficiently program modules for use in backend systems whether it be a new module or an upgrade to existing functionality.
- Assist in software configurations as required supporting the organizations development needs and schedule.
- Monitor and assist in tuning systems for the greatest performance.
- Act as liaison with hosting provider to ensure the environment is optimized for application performance.
- Provide planning and technical support for migration activities.
- Provide assistance to ensure the security of deployed applications.
- Provide technical documentation of work performed in a standard project team format.
- Recognize and identify potential areas where existing applications require change, or where new applications need to be developed.
Qualifications/Experience
- Bachelor’s Degree or higher in Computer Science, Information Systems, or other related field (or equivalent work experience.)
- Seven (7) years or more of IT work experience with demonstrated knowledge in architecture design, software development, database management systems,
and systems integration in multi-platform environments.
- Requires working knowledge of JAVA, Oracle Forms, Reports, and Graphics, PL/SQL, C, Perl, Oracle 10g, 11g, 12c, and UNIX Operating System.
- Ability to communicate effectively and work in a team environment.
