Sr. Database Analyst

Job Description:
The Senior DBA interacts with functional representatives, business and database analysts, data architects, and Systems Programming and administration and Application Development project teams to enable data operations requirements to support the effective storage and retrieval of data. He/She functionally leads other database analysts. The Senior Database Analyst drives consistency and drafts and maintains standards and procedures for database environments to ensure enterprise compliance. He/She implements and maintains the enterprise’s production and development databases. This position monitors and analyzes performance metrics, back-up, and recovery procedures and allocates database resources to achieve optimum database performance.
Details of Position:
The candidate that fills this position will be working in an Oracle database environment. Previous experience as an Oracle Database administrator is required. The candidate will be required to manage the work of resources. Previous experience in production support calls is preferred. The candidate must also have working knowledge of backup and recovery procedures; Linux clustering and Oracle Enterprise Manager. Oracle Exadata experience is preferred.
Management Skills:
The candidate must have the ability to manage database projects. He/she must have strong communication skills - both written and oral. Presentation skills are also required.
Skill/Experience/Education
Mandatory Skills Oracle DBA experience, Knowledge of ExaCC platform, Shell scripting
Desired Skills Oracle ExaCC platform, OKV, Shell Scripting and experience migration databases from Legacy Linux systems to ExaCC platform, Oracle SQL tuning
