Microsoft SQL Server Developer for complete SQL end-to-end development work supporting data management including data movement between internal and external systems (county-owned and state-owned systems).
Qualifications
• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field.
• 5 years of progressive hands-on experience in the use of Microsoft SQL Server and on various SQL Server Services like Integration Services (SSIS), Data Tool (SSDT) for Visual Studio, Analysis Services (SSAS), and Reporting Services (SSRS).
• Excellent T-SQL development skills to write complex queries involving multiple tables, develop and maintain stored procedures, triggers, user defined functions, views, user profiles, data dictionaries and data integrity.
• Experience with logical and physical data modeling and database design.
• Experience working with a diverse team comprising of both technical and non-technical staff.
• Ability to communicate and present technical information to technical and managerial staff.
Contractor's Duties provide the following services:
• Design, build, and maintain SQL queries, triggers, tables, stored procedures, functions, views, user profiles, data dictionaries and data integrity.
• Design and maintain source to target mapping and prepare implementation documents to support processes to refresh the target database with data from multiple sources.
• Reverse engineer existing source databases to understand the data design and perform detailed source data analysis.
• Create and maintain SSIS/SSDT packages to load data from various sources, as well as generate output extracts to external entities.
• Create and maintain database objects, enforce constraints, and create validation rules around data maintained in MS SQL databases for custom functionality.
• Develop and maintain the production notification process to efficiently track and report the status of automated jobs.
• Tune existing SQL code for improved performance. • Provide guidance and direction to less experienced staff in resolution of escalated issues and/or complex production problems.
• Interact and coordinate with the business teams as part of requirements gathering and analysis and conduct design review meetings.
