Information Security Architect Technical:-

Location : San Jose CA / RTP NC

 

 

The Information Security Architect is a hands-on role supporting the Vulnerability Management Operations Program. The VMA is expected to perform security audit functions to scan, identify, validate, and remediate security vulnerabilities. This includes designing and deploying vulnerability identification programs and providing remediation guidance to the end-users.

 

Minimum Requirements: ("Must have" Qualifications)

● 8+ years of experience in Information Security Domain

● 3+ years of experience working with any industry-standard scanning tool in (eg. Qualys, Nessus, AppScan etc.)

● Strong understanding of vulnerability management and security testing practices and methodologies.

● Experience using common security testing and analysis tools (Metasploit, Kali, Wireshark)

● Strong understanding and working knowledge of AWS and GCP cloud

● Expert knowledge of system, application, and database hardening techniques and practices.

• Operate and maintain the vulnerability management tools to ensure availability and efficacy

• Generate vulnerability reports and validate the issues identified

• Triage vulnerabilities and deliver reports to the customer

• Develop tools (e.g. scripts) to automate day-to-day tasks

• Guide vulnerability management best practices

• Experience with agile methodologies, working in a fast phased agile engineering/security environment.

•You can demonstrate experience in producing, documenting, and explaining layered architectural diagrams and topology diagrams, emphasizing security & data protection details.

• You have practical presentation skills to highly technical and non-technical audiences.

• Self-motivated with excellent team skills.

• Demonstrate ability to influence decision-makers at all senior levels.

• Solid critical thinking skills and is an effective communicator to cross-functional teams.

 

 

Desired Skills/Qualifications/System Experience requirements: ("Nice to have Qualifications")

● Scripting skills such as Python, Shell, Bash

● Ability to interact effectively at all levels of an organization, and as part of a geographically distributed team.

● Hands-on experience in testing, calibrating and deploying scanning tools in new and complex

Desired security tool experience: Qualys, Tenable, Rapid7, Metasploit, Nmap

Desired development experience: Python, Git

Desired OS experience: Ubuntu, RHEL, CentOS X

Desired Cloud experience: AWS, GCP, Azure
