| Job Title | Location | Job Description | | Data Visualization Analyst | Decatur, Georgia | Under general supervision, analyzes, designs, creates, implements, and supports systems and programs based on user requirements, procedures, and problems to automate processing or to improve application programs.
•Provides support in the development, testing, documentation, implementation, and maintenance of applications that support the district’s strategic goals
•Implements application development and support work that follows best practices, internal standards, policies, and pragmatic development
•Provides guidance in developing and maintaining data integrity and validity for various applications
•Work with business units to articulate analytic questions.
•Look at internal or external data and use it to answer business questions, then communicate those answers to requestor/manager
•Access data, clean it, perform some statistical analysis to answer the relevant business questions, and then visualize and communicate the results.
•Plans, processes, and performs development in an efficient manner with minimum assistance from the supervisor
•Advises systems users on proper usage and resolves user problems; installs and tests enhancements to systems from providers, as needed
•Perform and document data analysis, data validation, and data mapping/design.
Education and/or Experience:
Bachelor’s Degree in Information Technology, Systems Analysis, Computer Science or closely related area is preferred.
3+ years of experience developing, maintaining, and managing common BI platform driven dashboards & analytics and working knowledge of common BI platform administration/architecture.
3+ years of experience using technologies such as Tableau and Power BI.
1+ years of experience working with Excel (macros, pivot tables, etc.).
Certificates, Licenses, Permits: None.
Knowledge of multiple computer languages, operating systems, and protocols (i.e. One Roster, SQL, .Net, Java, etc.) and school-based systems (Infinite Campus, SIS, Canvas, APEX, etc).
Skill in
•Data visualization: 3 years (Required)
•Tableau: 1 year (Preferred)
•Power BI: 1 year (Preferred)
Ability to develop using Rest API, MS SQL Studio, and Stored Procedures.
