Job Title: Performance Tester Location: Richardson,Texas Duration: 6 months Job Role: - Perform analysis of Load tests in real-time test execution and post-run review to determine validity Triaging, Root-cause analysis, Communication, and Reporting on performance issues. Benchmarking the service level metrics to characterize Capacity, Availability Consistency, Resiliency, and Latency. Flagging and Reporting of potential performance issues during the development cycle. Capturing Non-functional requirements for performance. Working with Development Engineers to suggest fixes and help improve efficacy. Ability to understand the application requirements.
Must-Have: - Good programming skills in Java/Python
- Thorough understanding of Performance Testing and Tools (JMeter/LoadRunner/Postman).
- Experience in Thread Concurrency, Log analysis, and Monitoring the Environments.
- Define, develop and apply performance/scalability benchmarks.
- Work in cross-functional teams to characterize, debug, and improve system performance and scalability.
- Constantly evaluate the performance test strategy and approach to identify areas of improvement.
- Hands-on experience in developing performance test script suites.
- Executes performance tests, captures and analyzes results.
- Assist in other performance engineering activities as needed.
- Create and report performance test progress and defects.
- Maintains performance script repository.
- Excellent communication skills
Deliverables: - 6+ years of experience in Performance Engineering/Development.
- Experience in data analysis and visualization, end-to-end performance analysis.
- Extensive hands-on experience with JVM and Python tuning techniques.
- Strong knowledge of one or more programming languages (e.g., Java script, Python, Perl..etc)
- Extensive hands-on in database tuning, analytical & problem solving skills.
- Understanding of SQL based database and application-database integration.
- Experience in performance testing of service-oriented architecture and RESTful APIs
- Efficiently work with various profiling tools to identify performance bottlenecks
