Role: Java Developer with MongoDB Client Location: Austin, TX Duration: 12 Months Experience: 9+ Years 100% Remote!! Job Responsibilities The Enterprise Risk Engine Platform is looking for a Java Developer to work within an Agile Scrum Team to enhance Java based web services and messaging applications, and to support business critical internal integration projects.
- Will be required to write well designed, testable, efficient code using Springboot framework.
- Will participate in various cross-domain integration activities.
- Will analyze and investigate problems with software solutions that have been reported by clients and document the results of their investigation(s).
- Will develop software based on the technical specifications.
- Will develop scripts to automate application deployments.
- Will perform maintenance of software and correct defects that have been identified during the maintenance process.
- Will run unit tests on software they create, implement test plans, test harnesses and document the test results.
- Will investigate and suggest solutions to defects and problems with software solutions that have been detected during testing.
- Will update and patch software to ensure compliance with security requirements.
Comments - BA/BS degree in Computer Science or related technical field with at least years of experience in software development industry
- Proficient with object-oriented design and programming using Java Springboot framework
- Good understanding of system availability and scalability
- Experience with REST Web APIs or Messaging-based systems
- Experience in Shell/ Python scripting
- Experience working with Oracle database; Knowledge about NoSQL (MongoDB) database is a plus
- Experience in an Agile tools and methodologies
- Experience in Continuous Integration and Continuous Deployment methodologies, including test automation and metrics
- Good knowledge with Linux platform
- Experience using Splunk for problem investigation is a plus
- Strong problem-solving skills
- Strong sense of ownership, and self-motivated with a passion for resolving technical problems
- Good communication and collaboration skills across team boundaries
- 3-5 years of Java experience
- Really good verbal and written communication (must have) - effectively communicate issues they are experiencing and collaborate with team with ideas/problem solving
- MongoDB must have
- Any experience with Splunk and Harness would be nice to have
- Cucumber nice to have
