Role: Threat and Vulnerability Management Security Analyst III

Duration : 12 Months
Location- NJ/NY area – ONSITE
Visa-USC, GC only

Must Skills:
• Minimum of 15 + years of general IT experience
• Must have at least 7+ years of combined experience in vulnerability management, threat assessments, or a multi-discipline security engineer role
• 3+ years of recent operational experience in Security Operations Centers or Incident Response
• 3+ years in threat intelligence tools (Anomali), SIEM tools
• Strong understanding of industry security best practices and standards
• Ability to conduct research into IT security issues and products as required
• Lead implementation of threat and vulnerability management intelligence tools and platform
• Detailed technical knowledge in system security vulnerabilities and remediations
• Ability to correlate technical information from threat intelligence sources and other disparate security systems to draw conclusions about incidents
• Must be knowledgeable in writing Splunk query and correlations.
• Skilled in risk management, business risk analysis, and making complex risk trade-offs recommendations
• Experience and understanding of defense in depth principles with a demonstrated track record of driving improvements to a company’s security posture
• Experience solving complex, systemic issues that require creative thinking and solutions
• Broad exposure to infrastructure/network and multi-platform environments

Detailed job responsibilities:

• Understanding of the TCP/IP networking stack and network technologies
• Experience and/or knowledge of one of the following Vulnerability Management tools: Nessus / Tenable, Qualys, and/or Nexpose Rapid 7 or Insight VM, Sonatype
• Experience in threat identification tools like Proofpoint, Recorded Future
• Knowledge of SIEM platform like Splunk and fortify SSC
• Knowledge of one or more Information Security frameworks (HIPAA, NIST, PCI, etc.) and industry better practices
• Excellent technical knowledge of mainstream operating systems (for example, Microsoft Windows, Mac OS, and Linux)
• Familiarity with technologies such as VPN, Active Directory, Virtualization Platforms, Cloud Platforms
• Knowledge of cloud assessments and vulnerabilities
• Strong knowledge of healthcare environments
• Experience delivering formal presentations
• Qualified candidates must be able to effectively communicate with all levels of the organization
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
• Ability to effectively prioritize and execute multiple tasks in a high-pressure environment
• Industry certifications like CISSP, CISA preferred
• Bachelor’s degree in Information Systems or related degree, or equivalent job experience
