Job Description
The Finance Manager will work on a project with Human Resources in the finance department. Duties will include the assessment of current systems, provide operations recommendations, improvements, best practices, and understand the functions of the staff/gaps in staff.
Required Experience
- Experience leading a state or local government finance department, state preferred
- Skill in evaluating and writing job descriptions for finance staff
- Ability to create functional assessments and analyze the results
- Ability to direct the work of others
- Strong written and verbal communications skills with all levels of an organization
- Knowledge of best practices in finance department organizational roles and structures
- Experience leading or supporting a state/local finance department reorganization
