Position: Microsoft 365 Developer Duration: 6 months and possible extension Hybrid role (2 days in office/3 days remote) Required Travel/Expenses-Possible travel to other offices within 3-5 mile radius This position will be responsible for the design, development, installation, monitoring, maintenance, and enhancement of the Microsoft 365 suite of applications such as SharePoint Online, Delve, Microsoft Teams, One Drive, Planner, Stream, OneNote and offerings of Power Platform such as PowerApps, Power Automate and Power BI. The ideal candidate should act as a subject matter expert in all Microsoft 365 topics and have a major focus on strategy and implementation of M365 suite. It is preferred that the incumbent has database knowledge and experience in cloud infrastructure. MAJOR DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: - Incumbent must function as a M365 Team leader to include directing the activities, overseeing projects, and coordinating activities with other work groups.
- Install, configure, deploy, monitor, and tune Microsoft 365 and Power Platform.
- The incumbent will establish the link between the BI system and the data source(s) through the use of BI software tool such as Power BI.
- Develop and maintain existing Power BI reports and dashboards.
- Provide end-to-end support for technical issues and troubleshooting M365 applications.
- Participate in the evolution of the data warehouse as an enterprise resource and maintain data warehouse metadata model for impact analysis.
- Assess the marketplace for the latest features and enhancement opportunities.
- Responsible for analyzing various data structures to promote optimization of SQL queries.
- Create and preserve a repository of data, reports, and applications.
- Conduct research to evaluate new or upgraded technologies.
- Assist divisions in choosing appropriate tools and education for the self-service development and delivery as appropriate for their technical ability and opportunity.
- Candidate must have extensive knowledge in Extract, Transform, and Load (ETL) process.
- SQL writing skills and possess an understanding of relational and multi-dimensional data models.
- Ability to create reports using Microsoft SSRS (reporting Services) and have a working knowledge of Microsoft SSIS (Integration services). Also, have extensive SQL knowledge and ability to create and troubleshoot queries for Microsoft SQL Server, both on prem and in Azure SQL.
- Able to integrate Power BI reports into other applications using embedded analytics like Power BI service or by API automation.
- Knowledge in designing and developing Microsoft 365 applications and solutions.
- Implement solutions that leverage various Microsoft 365 services such MS Forms, Teams, MS Lists as per business requirements.
- Must be a team player, able to work with members of analytic, business, technical, and professional teams.
- Ideal candidate must be self-motivated, productive, and effective with minimal guidance and direction.
- Familiarity with Microsoft Azure cloud.
- Experience working with Microsoft DevOps.
- Experience working in Agile Scrum environment preferred.
- Able to properly understand the business requirements and develop solutions accordingly.
- Experience with data migration to cloud based environment.
- Ideal candidate must be self-motivated, productive, and effective with minimal guidance and direction.
- Supervise professional and technical staff to include hiring, training, discipline, timesheet approval, leave approval, work assignments and performance evaluations.

EDUCATION AND/OR EXPERIENCE: Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university with major course work in computer science, management information systems, or closely related field and three years of progressively responsible professional IT experience relevant to the duties of the position which may include computer operations, systems administration, network administration, database administration, applications analysis and development, and/or information security, one year of which was at the journey level; OR one year of relevant experience as an IT Professional II in Nevada State service; OR an equivalent combination of education and experience as described above.
