Job Description:
Understanding of relational databases and database fundamentals , including data storage, data modeling and data access pattern
Leading Team
client relationship management
All aspects of SAP ASE database administration including installation, configuration, capacity planning, space management, performance tuning, high availability system configuration, system monitoring, backup and recovery, security, data loading etc.
Server Build and Patch Upgrade.
Maintenance activities like managing space of devices, segment and Logfiles.
Performance tuning activities- update stats, Reorg, checking blocking, Troubleshooting Job failures etc.
Backup and restore Database Recovery.
Warm Stand by and MSA SAP Replication Setup. Monitoring and troubleshooting.
Golden Gate Replication and migration from Golden Gate to SAP REP.
Make recommendations for new database technologies or options to existing databases.
Build the foundation for a successful production deployment for new technologies.
Performance monitoring, change implementation, backup and recovery, privilege maintenance, user maintenance, new database setup, educating user base, troubleshooting user issues.
Automate standard Database processes using Python / Shell /Perl.
understanding of Linux system adminstration
Excellent communication skills and work attitude (both with technical and non-technical people)
