Sr. ETL Engineer Costa Mesa, CA (remote) 12+ month contract Job Description Our Client is looking for a talented Sr. Engineer to join our team. Your job will focus on all aspects of the AWS stack. From core infrastructure to network and security to the data layer to the application stack to core tooling for the team and others. You will be working in a fast-paced environment with a team that works to produce quality deliverables in a timely manner. Our team provides the opportunity to work independently and with other talented team members to accomplish the defined goals. What you will do: - Build and operate highly available and scalable platforms.
- Convert design requirements into technical implementation details.
- Operationalize processes for production use.
- Modify existing solutions to improve performance.
- Automate existing manual processes.
- Promote cooperation and commitment within a team to achieve common goals.
- Examine data to grasp issues, draw conclusions, provide solutions and solve problems.
Qualifications What you need to have: - Working knowledge of databases including MySQL, PostgreSQL and AWS Redshift.
- Experience with ETL processes.
- Demonstrated competency with AWS technologies.
- Demonstrated competency with Terraform.
- Experience with Git.
- Experience with scripting in Bash, Python, Ruby or similar.
- Experience with Change Management processes.
- Experience with the Linux OS.
- Experience building scalable infrastructure in AWS.
- Experience with monitoring solutions including Nagios, PMM, etc.
- Experience in leveraging automation and DevOps principles.
What we would like you to also have: - Experience with Big Data within AWS.
- Experience with Splunk operational functions.
- AWS Certifications.
Required Skills : The Clarity team at CIS is looking for a Senior ETL Engineer to migrate MySQL tables to their AWS stack. The bar for this position will be high, as they will be working on a mission-critical database and complex technical issues. This position will report directly to the VP of this group, so we need someone who is very sharp. We need someone with an in-depth understanding of on-prem MySQL and AWS Redshift. Candidates should be very comfortable with Data in a DevSecOps environment. Must have Strong scripting, Terraform, automation, monitoring knowledge. Ideally Big Data experience as well.
