Position: Senior Middleware Architect Location: Atlanta, GA Duration: Long term Contract Client: Infosys Technical skills (Required - Mandatory) - Must have 8+ years of demonstrable experience architecting, designing robust enterprise middleware solutions and service offering based on business criticality of applications that ensures coupling with upstream/ downstream of applications, messaging middleware platforms with high availability and Disaster recovery.
- Experience in setting up middleware environment from scratch or as-is migration or cross platform migration including building as per design, participate in testing and validation to withstand the robustness.
- Strong familiarity with Java containers and concepts, including JEE application servers like WebLogic, WebSphere, Oracle Application Server, JBoss and thinner servlet containers like Tomcat on UNIX and Windows.
- Experience on configuring high availability web solutions using NGINX load balancers and Web servers such as Apache, IBM HS, NGINIX and IIS
- Strong hands on experience with Messaging Middleware technologies like IBM MQ, IBM MQ MQXR, MQTT
- Experience with different standards supporting SOA: WS-, SCA, JMS
- Familiarity with common middleware issues such as virtualization, high availability active-active solutions, service availability, patching without service downtime, etc.
- Ability to manage and integrate cross-SPL reference architectures, cross-brand solution components
- Understanding of JON, JDBC/JMS configuration, and code deployment.
- Understanding of the following IT domains and technologies, preferred ones given in brackets: databases (Oracle, DB2), HA/DR (clustering, load balancing), security (STS, SAML, policies), user management (LDAP, AD).
Area of responsibilities - Due diligence, Requirement gathering, Architect and Design of Middleware environment
- Creating environment, build SOPs
- Plan/Build/Migration activities of Weblogic, OAS, IBM WebSphere. JBoss, MQ/IIB and Axway CFT/SFT.
- Hardening and Configuration of Webservers and Load balance in coordination with distributed teams.
- Manage and configuring of SSL, Queues, channels, Flows, applications etc.
- Setup of Pre-production and production environments
- Define Strategy for Migrating the MW Products from Old version to latest versions
- Coordination with Client teams and OEM Vendors
- Planning and executing Middleware disaster recovery drills in coordination with other teams
- Create and publish knowledge base articles and contribute to knowledge management activities in the service.
- Writing solutions / estimates for RFPs.
- Implement automations for significant reduction in manual efforts, it is essential to have hands-on experience in one of the Automation Platforms like SALTSTACK, Ansible, Jenkins.
