Job Title: Database Developer

Location: 100% Remote

 

Client is seeking a talented Database Developer who will be responsible for building new features within Data Marts and creating Data Warehouse solutions. He/She will be tasked with developing and maintaining T-SQL stored procedures and troubleshooting support tickets that have come in through Jira for an Agile Product Team. He/She will be joining an existing Product Team, reviewing existing code, making enhancements to build out SQL database functionality.

 

As a Database developer, this is your opportunity to:

• Model and develop schema designs for existing and future database and data marts
• Work directly with data analysts to assess their needs and build Data Warehousing models to service those users
• Participate in analytics architecture planning efforts using SOA principles, including services, APIs, and infrastructure to incorporate numerous data repositories and interfaces
• Develop, implement and optimize stored procedures and functions
• Write and tune queries
• Adheres to company policies, follows department procedures and standard practices, and respects guidelines governing data privacy and security.

 

You bring:

• Bachelor degree in technical discipline such as Software Engineering, Computer Science with 8-10 years of IT experience
• 5+ years experience as a Database Developer
• Background and experience in JAVA technology, preferred
• Experience with T-SQL & MS SQL Server databases and ability to create MS-SQL stored procedures, scripts and queries.
• Experience building new features within Data Marts and creating Data Warehouse solutions
• Experience developing and maintaining T-SQL stored procedures
• Experience with SSIS, SSRS and making enhancements to current to packages
• Experience performance-tuning problem queries
• Agile development experience
• Some experience working with Big data, highly preferred
