• Job Description include –
Experienced, self-motivated Data Analyst responsible for using the data to design, create, and maintain analyses and reports and tools in support of application, service delivery and business operations. Performs advanced data analysis utilizing appropriate analytics methodologies and fosters data-driven decision-making by providing valuable consultative analytics support.
Job Responsibilities include
• Uses knowledge of business objectives, strategies, and needs to identify opportunities where data can be leveraged to achieve the desired business benefits.
• Understanding of current data context, processes and availability, and how current data processes and existing data can be leveraged to achieve the desired benefits.
• Prepares and analyzes data. This can include: locating, profiling, cleansing, extracting, mapping, importing, transforming, validating or modeling.
• Applies query, data exploration and transformation, basic statistical methods and visualization techniques to create business insights or improve data quality.
• Performs validation and testing to confirm the accuracy of the information created.
• Interprets results of analyses, identifies trends and issues, and develops recommendations to support business objectives.
• Communicates complex information so that it is easy to understand and influences other to take action based on the useful information provided.
• Implements and maintains decision support or master data management solutions.
• Responsible for blueprinting existing processes to discover automation opportunities, exploring capabilities of new tools and technology, and integrating that technology into current and new business processes to streamline Data Management work streams
• Work with cross-functional partners across our highly matrixed organization to understand both upstream inputs to, and downstream impact of, current and future Data Management processes
• Strong data analysis skills, including experience using DB2, SQL, Power BI, MS Access, Crystal Reports, and other appropriate tools for analysis
• Familiarity with data warehousing concepts and reporting tools is desirable
• Familiar with Report Development Life Cycle; ability to analyze large data sets for content, integrity, consistency and validation of business rules is desirable
• The ability to map user requirements to operational and analytical reporting applications is desirable
• Strong working knowledge of MS Office applications. Ability to create MS Excel macros & pivot tables, executive presentations, standard operating procedures
• Strong report design skills, visualizations, and web-reporting experience
Skills:
• Demonstrate the ability to communicate with others verbally and in writing effectively.
• Ability to work independently under little supervision.
• High Attention to detail and quality, action-oriented, ability to work within stringent deadlines.
• Strong organizational skills with the ability to consolidate and integrate a wide range of inputs.
• Ability to effectively present basic information and respond to questions from executives, managers, customers, and business users.
• Ability to solve complex system problems relating to standards and data.
• Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form.
• Experience working in large information technology enterprise environments
• Demonstrated programming skills with software applications, databases, and historians.
• Demonstrated excellence and ability to learn new programming skills and languages.
• Data Science knowledge in Python, R, Matlab, .NET or other statistical based languages.
• Must be proficient in typical software applications, including MS Office tools Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Microsoft Project. SharePoint, Power BI and Adobe Products
• Prior experience working with ServiceNow, JIRA, Confluence
