I am reaching out to you on an exciting job opportunity with one of our clients Role: Data Analytics Engineer Location: Philadelphia(Remote till covid) Position: Contract Any Visa fine Mandatory Skill: Big Data, Spark, Python Job description: - Creates technical documentation (internal) using understanding of internal business areas and processes as well as working knowledge of database design, data manipulation, ETL, implementation, information storage & retrieval and data flow & analysis.
- Pre-emptively recognize and resolve technical issues utilizing knowledge of policies and processes.
- Optimize data sources and processing rules to ensure appropriate data quality of all products utilizing trouble-shooting, design and development skills along with cross systems technical knowledge.
- Solves critical issues and shares knowledge such as trends, aggregate, quantity volume regarding specific data sources.
- Acts as a subject matter expert in one or more technical areas; such as data architecture, data engineering or data manipulation within big data systems like Hadoop and SQL.
- Serves as a team leader within a work group or on cross-functional teams; accepts team lead stretch assignments, acts as a resource for colleagues with less experience. Presents to broader senior leadership team. Understands other business units and how they affect the team and work.
- Acts as a liaison between business owners and technical associates to ensure the data collected and processed is both actionable and relevant to the end goals.
- Primarily focused on Microsoft SQL Server Integration Services (SSIS), SQL, and Reporting solutions (OBIEE and Tableau).
- Completes assessments of technical processes.
- Diagnoses and documents issues, risks and problems.
- Researches, writes, and maintains documentation and technical requirements, including ETL job flows and dependencies.
- Recommends and implements scalable processes to support and benefit the organizations architecture vision.
- Recommends and develops repeatable and scalable processes in order to speed time market and improve operation efficiency.
- Interacts closely with cross team work streams, and suggests areas of improvement to development teams to improve operation efficiency.
- Diagnoses and documents issues, risks and problems.
- Responds to customer concerns in a timely and efficient manner.
- Responsible for database access requests, data security and governance.
- Monitors JIRA tickets and works in Agile and daily Scrums
- Consistent exercise of independent judgment and discretion in matters of significance.
- Regular, consistent and punctual attendance. Must be able to work nights and weekends, variable schedule(s) and overtime as necessary.
- Other duties and responsibilities as assigned.
Responsibilities: - Perform data analysis on existing products and datasets (both structured and unstructured)
- Define metrics for track and monitor or products and service
- Responsible for tracking feature releases, adjunct project manager to track necessary instrumentation, metrics, A/B test results, etc
- Maintain documentation solutions that enable business partners to get the most out of our self-serve reporting tools
- Evaluate the effectiveness of software/product releases and conduct readouts on results
- Assists with tracking performance metrics
Qualifications: - Minimum of a Bachelor’s in any related fields
- 2 to 5 years of experience in data analytics
- Experience in SQL, Python
- BI Tool (Looker, Tableau, Qlik) Proficiency
