Role: : Java - Lead Software Engineer

Location : : Bellevue, WA (Remote until Covid stabilize)

Duration : Contract  

 

 

Responsibilities:

Serve as a technical lead on our most demanding, cross-functional projects. Ensure the quality of architecture and design of systems.

Functionally decompose complex problems into simple, straight-forward solutions.

Fully and completely understand system interdependencies and limitations

Experience with open-source technologies such as Kubernetes, Hudi, Pravega, Delta Lake, etc

Possess expert knowledge in performance, scalability, front, and back-end architecture, and engineering best practices.

Assist in the career development of others, actively mentoring individuals and the community on advanced technical issues and helping managers guide the career growth of their team members.

Exert technical influence over multiple teams, increasing their productivity and effectiveness by sharing your deep knowledge and experience.

Experience using public cloud technology and solutions, including AWS, Azure, etc

Qualifications:

8+ years of software development experience with a degree in Computer Science or equivalent professional experience.

Proficiency in Java, and familiarity with modern front-end frameworks such as React

Exceptional collaborator: self-aware, empathetic towards others, and able to deliver results as a team.

Experience in building massively scalable applications and participating in leading open-source technologies.

Experience working with and evangelizing mature development practices and tools for source control, security, and deployment.

Highly collaborative with effective written and verbal communication skills.

Team player who is eager to help others to succeed through mentoring and leading by example.

Self-starter and Self-motivated, able to learn and work autonomously.

Able to identify and lead technical efforts to solve real customer problems
