Job Description:
Title: QA Lead
Duration: 12+ Months
Location: Remote (After Covid Pittsburg, PA)
Client: FIS Global
Responsibilities:
- Develop and execute test plans, test cases, test data, test scenarios, and other testing related documentation based on the requirements and technical specifications.
- Interpret and implement quality assurance standards
- Ensure data integrity standards.
- Plan, develop, execute, maintain, and improve Automated Test Frameworks and Automated Test Scripts for Web and Database applications
- Identify areas for improvement in the quality system
- Create and maintain libraries and object repositories
- Participate in application planning meetings.
- Perform reviews, walkthroughs, or inspections.
- Work closely with the Development, BA, and Business teams to gather and understand use cases for automation
Preferred Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or Software Engineering.
- Experience with Selenium with Java, Typescript, Rest Assured, Postman, Cucumber and other open-source test automation frameworks
- Experience testing with financial services products.
- Experience on Cloud Technologies.
Key Skills:
- Strong understanding of web, mobile, API, desktop, packaged and database test automation technologies
- Ongoing knowledge of automated testing industry best practices and trends
- Experience with test automation and test management tools
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to work in an unstructured, fast-paced environment
- Strong Oral and Written skills
- Hands on experience on implementing ATDD/BDD/MDD/ Model Driven Test Automation
- Hands on experience with Selenium webdriver, Cucumber, Appium, RestAssured, SoapUI, Swagger, Postman, Protractor, Jmeter, LoadRunner, Grinder, Gatling and other industry famous automation frameworks
- Experience in linux, SQL
- Knowledge on performance testing tools like performance testing tools like JMeter, Gatling
- Experience with tools like Browserstack, Saucelabs SAAS testing platforms
- Advanced experience reading/writing one or more languages: C#, Python, JavaScript, Java, TypeScript
- Expertise with data driven, keyword driven, script-less, hybrid, and behavior driven automation frameworks
- Expertise in creating UI test frameworks using Page Object Model.
- Experienced in Cloud Testing using AWS/Azure DevOps
- Hands-on test automation experience in an Agile Development environment
- Hands-on experience specifying, establishing, and managing test environments and test data for load and functional test automation
- 4+ years working as Automation Engineer leveraging test automation solutions of functional and load testing of web-based technologies, desktops and databases
- Creates and maintains moderately complex automated scripts. Develops reusable automated scripts from a variety of interfaces.
- Schedules and performs testing as assigned; submits errors and issues to development for correction, and retests once errors have been corrected; tests corrected code. Tracks defects and causal analysis to closure.
- Coordinates and monitors moderately complex automation projects from initiation through delivery. Ensures that automation projects are completed on schedule and within budget.
- Establishes/maintains communication with manual testers/teams to ensure new automation and automation maintenance needs are met in appropriate timeframes.
- Prepares automated test plans and test scripts for software corrections and enhancements. May review test plans and test reports.
- Uses automated Quality Assurance systems to facilitate daily activities.
- May maintain test environments/data to be used with test automation.
- Executes and reports results of automated scripts in test management tools. Presents reporting of automation progress as requested.
- Analyzes script results and reports issues as requested. Performs code reviews of automated scripts from team members.
- Provides assistance with running automated tests and training on automation to other teams as requested. Provides technical assistance to other members of the automation team.
- Understands and debugs scripts developed by team peers.
- May assist and instruct software developers in designing test cases for unit testing.
- May assist and instruct in creating use cases for UMLs.
- May create and maintain test libraries, databases, and test environments.
- May assist with any software changes for documentation update or correction.
- May assist with alpha and beta testing; prepares enhancement test plans used at beta site.
- May assist with the education and training of software enhancements and conveying corrections to other employees.
