Job Description :
• Design and develop the test automation framework, harnesses and code libraries to enable the team to both use and enhance them across successive projects
• Improve test effectiveness through robust Automation Framework.
• Develops and maintains our Automation Test Suite and reporting to stakeholders.
• Interacts with technology staff including Developers, Devops Engineers, Product management, and Program management to identify scope of project/s and engage in design, development and test engineering activities.
• Drive Regression testing effort and work with the application development and testing teams to assist with problem resolution and troubleshooting during Regression, UAT, and customer testing efforts.
• Lead a team of quality assurance and software testing professional, establishing the processes, standards and technical tooling needed to ensure the software quality.
• Develops/monitors quality gating and automation strategy for a given project looking at code coverage and API level functionality.
• Plan test strategy and acceptance criteria keeping end customer needs – functional, non-functional, and user experience
• Participate in application design reviews, walkthroughs and inspections, and conduct test reviews, including test plans, requirements, cases and automation coverage, and identify any gaps or optimizations that should be addressed
• Write and review Test Documentation wherever required. Conduct test case review & code reviews for the automation code
• Research new testing tools and identify how they can be used to improve existing testing frameworks & methodologies
• Actively participate in requirements review, test planning, test data creation and execution of User Acceptance testing Plan and testing activities to deliver high quality products and incremental value with every iteration.
Experiences and Skills
• Experience overseeing the coding, testing, and review process for unit, integration / regression testing
• Successfully led multiple test paths simultaneously
• Successfully ensured quality of one or more application codebases and alignment with development standard
• Experience in building automation frameworks, acceptance and integration test automation scripts, integrating with other tools
• Excellent hands-on test automaton skills in Java with experience in unit, functional and integration / regression testing.
• Expert in software development test approaches & frameworks: Java, TDD/BDD, Unit tests, Cucumber, API automation (REST / SOAP), Selenium Web Driver
• Proven experience in elevating test standards and spearheading quality initiatives.
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
• Show initiative and demonstrates a willingness to take on challenging opportunities.
• A critical thinker who bring vision and insights to how we test and can influence others.
• Experience working in a cloud environment, e.g. PCF, Azure and CI/CD principles and tools such as Maven, Jenkins, Chef.
• Working knowledge in version control tools, such as Git, Github, Stash etc.
• Good understanding of database concepts; Should be able to write SQL queries
• Nice to have Mobile Appium experience
